This is the picture I took for the lines category. It represents this category well because the lines are very prominent and look as though they extend far beyond where the photo ends even though they don't.
This is the photo I chose for rule of thirds because the feather is placed along the left grid line and the greenery in the background is along the right grid line. This picture also exemplifies depth of field.
This is the picture I chose for symmetry because although it is not 100% symmetrical I feel that the top half of the photo has a unique near-symmetrical look and if you folded it in half it would be almost perfect. The bottom half, is not nearly as symmetrical but creates a unique interest for the eyes.
This picture that I selected for depth of field is probably my favorite photo that I took. It represents this category because the flower that is most prominent and focused in the photo is much more vivid than the smaller ones that are blurred in the background. Although you can't see them that clearly, you can tell they are there, giving the photo an element of depth.
This photo shows texture because you can tell that the brick is not completely flat and has an interesting patterning and depth to it.
The bleachers in this picture create a pattern as they're all in a row and the person sitting breaks the pattern which is commonly used in pattern photographs.
This photo shows balance because the football is on the opposite side of the frame as the Saline hornets logo so they balance each other out. Another element of the photo that creates balance is the lighting because most of the light falls on the football and the logo is in a more shaded area.
The football field in the background of this photo creates a vibrant green color while the subject is wearing more muted tones.
This picture shows perspective because it is taken from the ground looking up which is unlike your typical far away tree picture.
The bricks in this photo exemplify the "space" aspect of the category where the subject is seen as bold and creates a focal point.
I really liked this photo for the framing category because I thought it was very unique. The plants on either side frame the water, sky, greenery, and ducks in the background.
